4th Annual Fundraiser for Kids

For 4 years now, Realty World Curri Properties has partnered with The Haven for Children in a bowling event for families and friends. 

About The Haven

The Haven for Children is a 501-c non-profit organization that was founded in 1986. Its origination began as a shelter for abused, abandoned, and neglected children from birth to age 6, and was originally a project of the Junior League of South Brevard. By 1987, they opened a shelter consisting of 9 beds available for these children in need. 

By 1999 the organization grew, as did the number of kids in need of foster care. By 2001, the second 9-bed shelter was built and filled with children up to age 10. Today they now have 3 shelter homes and are continuing to expand. 

With the support of amazing volunteers, and with loving donations, The Haven can support these children with food, shelter, education, life experiences, rehoming needs, and so much more for their future too. The Haven helps to honor scholarships to previous Haven children and help them to apply for grants when applying for college. Without the community getting involved to volunteer or helping to raise funds at events like Realty World Curri Properties bowling events, the Haven wouldn’t be able to provide the safe homes and education needed to allow these kids an easier life. 

About the Event

Being part of the planning committee for the bowling event means so much to me. It’s important that we prepare effectively to make sure that everyone involved has a great time, while also raising as many funds as we can to donate back to The Haven. 

The bowling event for this year’s 4th annual fundraiser will be at Shore Lanes on Dairy Road in West Melbourne. The event is from 1pm to 3pm, and open to businesses, families or friends that would like to participate in a team. Each team donation is $400 and includes a pitcher of soda, pizza pie, bowling shoe rental and a designated lane for your team of up to 6 players to play in. There will be a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle, as well as other fun games to win prizes also. And because we want to be sure everyone is having extra fun, there will be a prize for the best dressed team too!
